I don't know about you, but we're often led to believe that an unhealthy person looks a certain way. You know the way I mean. Now even though I know this isn't true, today was a stark reminder of how untrue this sentiment can be. Just because a person looks slim and trim (slimmaz) it is no indication of their actual health.
I promise to not 'hate on' people who look 'slim' at the gym anymore

When you find a fitness tracker to 'borrow' from family, adjust the settings, and you go look in the weight section and see 39.4lbs to meet your goal O_O knowing that when you started it was a 50lbs goal. #Happy! #SmallVictories
![]() I've found different things that have helped to make my weight loss journey easier. One of those things is to celebrate victories and progress no matter how small. When I first started at the gym I did 25 minutes on the treadmill and reached 1.18 miles. I felt I was dying! Today two weeks later I did 45 minutes and reached 2.49 miles. I didn't think I was dying. This chronicle does not start from day 1 of my journey. As I said, I started so many times I didn’t think I was going to actually make it anywhere, and I didn’t think I had any authority. This chronicle, however, picks up after I received really bad news from my doctor and after I started my first 2 weeks at the gym.
I’ve always wanted to talk about my weight loss journey, from the time I left college and quickly gained weight, to the time I realized I was 190lbs, until the time I made it up to 242lbs. I didn’t think I had any authority from which to speak, I mean I was incapable of maintaining a weight loss strategy. I tried many of the shakes, the weight loss plans, I even started the gym once.
Yet every time I tried I failed. And I usually gave up. Only to get miserable and start again. This fan page will chronicle my weight loss process. |
